Strengthening the economy and making NSW a better place to do business

Department of Primary Industries
Industry, Skills and Regional Development

Michael is an innovator whose management efforts have been essential to the successful and equitable
distribution and delivery of water in the Lower Darling, the Menindee Lakes and the Western Murray areas
through recent droughts and water shortages. He balances the needs of the customer with the health of
the rivers and streams on which customers in the far south west of the State rely, so that water distribution
practices are sustainable and resources are maintained for the future. Michael is a balanced and impartial
decision-maker who has made a difference in primary industries in the region.
