Winner Announced: Premier's Award for Individual Excellence & Achievement, Round 1, 2013
The Premier announced Professor Robyn Ward AM as the winner of the Premier's Award for Individual Excellence and Achievement at a ceremony held at Parliament House on Thursday, 13 June, 2013.
Professor Ward, Director of Cancer Services, Prince of Wales Hospital and Clinical Associate Dean of Prince of Wales School, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, won the award for her initiative in developing, implementing and continuously improving eviQ Cancer Treatments Online. eviQ is a point-of-care information system that provides evidence-based information and resources on cancer treatment. The system currently supports medical clinicians and cancer patients across Australia and overseas.
Professor Ward is the second public sector employee to be bestowed the Premier's Award for Individual Excellence and Achievement, following the announcement of the inaugural winner, Mardi Croke, at the Premier's Awards ceremony in November last year.
